Pickerel Lake Sanitary District was organized in November, 1992, as a political subdivision and is governed by an elected three member board of trustees.
About the Lake
Pickerel lake is the deepest natural lake in South Dakota and covers 955 acres with over 9 miles of shoreline. For more information about the lake, go to the fact sheet on the Northeast SD Glacial Lakes Watershed Project website.
